Prayers needed

It’s been quite a long time now since I’ve last posted.

I’m here in an internet café in Butuan City, right infront of Butuan Doctor’s Hospital. I just had to express myself. I couldn’t take in the sleepless hours anymore. It’s our second day here. My lola got admitted yesterday. She’s sick. *sniff* She’s been having seizures in her cardiopulmonary (chest) area. This causes her to feel neauseated, have a black-out, and faint (constantly). Her last was right during lunchtime the day I arrived home! She fainted while eating in the dinner table.

You might be wondering why we had to go 195kms away from home to admit her [my grandma] in a different hospital? The doctor was designated here in Butuan. My mom processed her philhealth account and my lola’s senior citizen card in the meantime. I volunteered to accompany them here because I was already used to travelling. Eventhough it was only my first day to arrive back in Surigao I didn’t even hesitate to volunteer in accompanying my mom and my grandma. My dad had work and my (imbecile) elder brother was not even interested enough to care. (And to think he took up nursing!)

My lola’s EEG and CT scan results came out the afternoon we arrived. My mom, who luckily worked in a healthcare office, understood the interpretation of the results the doctor gave us. The results were fairly good. But my lola’s heartbeat had disturbingly long pauses that were evident in the unusually long flatline patterns in the results. Now we’re just waiting for the results from that cardiopulmonary-halter they attached yesterday. It’s supposed to monitor my lola’s heart condition. It would be taken off after 24 hours. We’ll be checking out this afternoon, hopefully, after we get all the results and the doctor’s prescription and medication.

Her heart is weak. Very weak. It’s already in a point where it could almost - literally - skip a beat. I don’t know. I’m confused. I’m down. But atleast I’m trying my best not to show any signs of weakness. My mom’s just pulling herself together too. She needs to.

I need some prayer’s guys. We need them badly. Thanks for listening out.
